Modified design and enhanced user experience for a portal that offers registry insights and management serving both publicly listed and private companies and their 18 million US shareholders. The portal also provides seamless access to other Computershare client websites through Single
Sign-On (SSO) integration.
Having worked in healthcare design for the past 9 years, fintech design was a completely new arena. To familiarize myself with the product I conducted a comprehensive tool audit, testing various flows, and reviewing existing user feedback.
Problems identified through audit
• Inconsistency in current experience causing friction in user experience
• Disparate design patterns and technical debt making it challenging to add new features
The team was lacking a robust set of components which introduced occasional inconsistencies in design. Furthermore, multiple development teams were working out of multiple time zones and the fast-paced turnaround times prevented them from building global components. On closer inspection, one could spot inconsistencies in user experience.

Research: I delved into the latest user research and data analysis to guide and support design decisions. Understanding user behavior and priorities was crucial in reshaping the navigation and redesigning an experience that empowered the user.
Design: I worked closely with the product owner and business analysts to grasp business needs and collaborated with our in-house design and development teams to brainstorm and refine designs that harmonize user needs with business goals. We aimed to improve usability and accessibility while considering technology limitations.
I also took the lead in cost-saving initiatives by shifting from UX Pin to Figma, where I created a comprehensive style library, templates, and reusable components, ultimately boosting team efficiencies.
Our combined efforts culminated in a compelling product that not only boasted rich features but also provided clear, intuitive navigation, significantly enhancing the user experience.
